Installation

1. Install Argine from its official Google Play listing.
2. Open the app and complete onboarding: goal, motivations, apps to protect and plan.
3. Enable the accessibility service when requested: Argine first explains why it is needed, then opens the correct Android settings.
4. If Android shows a restricted-settings warning, open App info → top menu → Allow restricted settings, then return to Accessibility settings.

Requirements: Android 8.0 or later. Installation and updates are securely managed by Google Play.

The Gate and micro-sessions

Open a protected app and the Gate appears: 5 seconds of breathing while the ring closes, then you choose.

• Use now: starts the active plan's micro-session (e.g. 1 minute on the Argine plan).
• Quick Actions: jump straight to a section (Messages, story camera…) with a tailored timer.
• Close: back to home. No penalty — you won.

The timer counts only real in-app time: leave and it pauses; return and it resumes. When the session ends, the cooldown starts.

Every app can carry custom overrides from Apps → tap the app → expand.

Anti-Scroll

Anti-Scroll recognizes sustained feed scrolling on TikTok and Instagram and stops the session when the behavior becomes automatic. Argine does not read screen content and cannot distinguish feeds, profiles or messages.

Five levels, adjustable from Profile → Preferences or during onboarding: Gentle, Balanced, Attentive (default), Strict and Maximum.

Argine Pro & subscriptions

Free: 3 protected apps, Sentinel, Breathe and Argine plans, all 5 anti-scroll levels and realtime timer. Pro: unlimited apps, all plans and Argine before PIN.

Argine Pro is activated exclusively in the app through Google Play:

• Monthly: €1.99 per month.
• Annual: €9.99 per year, with a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.

Google Play shows the price, trial duration and renewal terms before confirmation. You can manage or cancel the subscription in Google Play subscription settings. There are no license or invite codes.

Privacy & permissions

• No account, no server: logs and rules stay on the phone.
• The accessibility service observes only which app is in the foreground plus TikTok/Instagram scroll events. It reads no messages, passwords or content.
• Notifications power the countdown and Sentinel nudges; adjust them from Profile.
• Uninstalling: always possible, no locks. Disable the accessibility service first, then uninstall normally.
